Convenient Accomodations

Each House offers guest families:

• At the Miami House: 27 guest bedrooms each with 2 twin beds
• At the Fort Lauderdale House: 20 bedrooms each with 2 full beds and private bathrooms
• Large kitchen and dining room areas
• Laundry facilities
• Family rooms with televisions, movies and games
• Handicap accessibility and ADA compliant
• Outdoor gardens and children's play areas
• Community room for private meetings
• Elevator

Admission Information

Each House is open to any family referred by an authorized hospital staff person such as nurse, social worker or doctor in order to receive a room. Rooms are assigned on a first come, first-served basis, and we request a minimal contribution of $15.00 per night from each of our families, though no family is turned away if they cannot pay.

Children receiving treatment at the hospital must be under the age of 21 and a patient at any Miami-Dade and Broward County pediatric hospital such as:

Bascom Palmer Eye Center
Chris Evert Children's Hospital at Broward General
Holtz Children's Hospital
Holy Cross Hospital
Jackson Memorial Hospital
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital
Miami Children's
Plantation General Hospital

The maximum length of stay is 60 days (depending on the House location) consecutive. After those maximum days, families need to check out, be re-referred by a hospital staff person, and then they will be placed on a waiting list for re-admittance.
