09 Nov Batchelor Foundation Extends Support for Children to RMHC South Florida Families
November 9, 2023 — The Batchelor Foundation, a fixture in South Florida since its founding in 1990, has awarded a $250,000 grant to Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida, moving the chapter’s ambitious plans for a new House on the Jackson Memorial Campus closer to reality. With a constant waiting list and ongoing expansion of pediatric services in South Florida, it is crucial to expand our capacity. The new House will accommodate 54 families.
“When a child is critically ill, the parents’ only focus should be their child’s health,” said Soraya Rivera-Moya. “The Batchelor Foundation’s generous grant confirms the Foundation’s staunch support of children in our community. This support helps ensure that parents remain nearby while their child receives complex medical care. We’re committed to keeping families close because we know family is the best medicine for a sick child.”
