What It Is: Our “Meals from the Heart” program, formerly known as “Adopt a Meal,” invites volunteers to prepare and serve meals for the families staying at our House. This ensures that they have nutritious, home-cooked meals without the stress of planning and cooking during their time of need. The program provides a much-needed support service to families who are taking care of their sick children, and often don’t have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal. After a long day at the hospital or clinic, a hot meal is a welcome gift. Community groups, organizations and individuals are needed to provide meals for the families staying with us.How You Can Help:Plan and Prepare a Meal: Gather your family, friends, or colleagues to plan and prepare a breakfast, lunch, or dinner for our families.
Sponsor a Meal: If you’re unable to cook, you can still support by sponsoring a catered meal.
Serve with a Smile: Join us at the House to serve the meal you’ve prepared and spend time interacting with the families, offering them a warm and friendly environment.
Impact: By participating in Meals from the Heart, you provide comfort and nourishment, allowing families to focus on the well-being of their children.
