RMHC South Florida celebrated a historic milestone on September 9, 2025, breaking ground on a $33 million House that will broaden access to family-centered care in the region. The “Hope has a New Home” groundbreaking ceremony brought together community leaders, healthcare partners, and dedicated supporters to rally around a shared commitment to keeping families together.
The project addresses a critical need, as the current 31-room House is always full, resulting in 128 families being turned away last year with an average wait time of 14 days. The new seven-story, 60,000-square-foot House will nearly double the accommodations to 54 private guestrooms, eliminating the waitlist and enabling RMHC South Florida to serve over 420 families annually.
