Every night, our House is at capacity. For every family we can welcome, we must turn away another because we simply have no room. Last year, families waited an average of 14 days just to secure a bed. While their children fight for their lives, parents are fighting to survive, sleeping in hospital chairs or cramped cars, exhausted and overwhelmed by mounting bills. They wait for the one call that changes everything: “We have a room for you.” With your help, we can end the waitlist and ensure that every family has a home-away-from-home from day one.
Hope Has A New Home is the combined campaign that will expand our House from 31 to 54 rooms!
We are constructing a world-class, seven-story sanctuary just steps from Holtz Children’s Hospital. This 60,000-square-foot facility will help us ensure that no parent will ever have to navigate the complex journey of childhood illness alone. By nearly doubling our capacity, we can keep families together while their children receive life-saving treatment and are surrounded by a community of dedicated staff, caring volunteers, and the comfort they desperately need.

RMHC South Florida celebrated a historic milestone on September 9, 2025, breaking ground on its future House to broaden access to family-centered care in the region. The project addresses a critical need as the current House is always full, resulting in 128 families being turned away last year. The groundbreaking ceremony brought together community leaders, healthcare partners, and dedicated supporters to rally around a shared commitment to keeping families together.
