16 Oct From Hospital Stays to Hope: Trinity’s Story of Healing
October 16, 2025 —This powerful story features Kimberly Perry and her daughter, Trinity Parker, a 10-year-old from South Bay, Florida. Trinity’s journey with the RMHC South Florida began in 2015 when she was just six months old and needed a bone marrow transplant, leading to a year-long stay.
While the intense necessity of treatment marked their first experience, their second stay in 2019 became a profound turning point. By then, Trinity was old enough to walk, talk, and interact, and the House brought out a vibrant new side of her personality.
Kimberly recalls the very first day of their second stay: “There was a volunteer group here, and Trinity was gone. She was dancing. She was coloring. And I’m like, this is a whole different child. I had never seen this before. I mean, from then on her personality has sprung”.
Since leaving the House, Trinity has thrived. She started school about a year after leaving and is now in the fourth grade, hitting all her milestones and “growing really tall”. Kimberly’s message to other families is one of shared experience and comfort: they are united by a common love for their children and the knowledge that the House provides the peace of mind needed to take care of them, reminding everyone to “just know that it does get better”.
