Heroes for a Day: RMHC Children Have Super Time

November 10, 2023 An audience with Spider-Man or the Hulk sure goes a long way toward boosting your spirits when you are young and facing scary medical treatments. And there were plenty of smiles to go around when children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) of South Florida got to meet their favorite superheroes recently.

J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, together with The Collection Aston Martin, and their hero friends entertained the families with games, dancing, and a car show, giving families a few hours of respite from the stress of caring for a sick child.

We believe every child, regardless of their health challenges, deserves moments of joy and laughter. Events like this  create an unforgettable experience for these courageous children and their families. And the smiles are priceless.” said Soraya Rivera-Moya, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.

“As wealth partners at JP Morgan, we believe in making an impact in the communities we serve,” said David Lee, co-managing partner of JP Morgan Wealth Management. “Our purpose as a firm, is to make dreams possible for everyone, everywhere. When our core team came up with the Super Cars for Superhero Kids event, our goal was to help children who are facing health challenges to feel empowered and celebrated.” Lee told the kids to never give up hope and he challenged the community leaders in attendance to prioritize servant leadership.

“We are forever grateful to the generous support of the business community. Without their support, we would not be able to continue providing a comfortable and supportive ‘home-away-from-home’ for families who must travel to seek life-saving medical treatment for their child,” added Rivera-Moya. “We host up to 31 families at a time and there is always a waiting list, so we appreciate this support.”
