RMHC South Florida Awards $50,000 to Nonprofits Improving the Lives of Local Families

December 17, 2024  RMHC South Florida is thrilled to announce the recipients of its 2024 Grant Program. This year, six dedicated organizations were awarded $50,000 to support vital initiatives that enhance the lives of children and families in South Florida.

RMHC South Florida provides lodging, meals, and a community of care to critically ill children and their families and has granted over $4.9 million to local non-profits since 1988. The grants promote health, education, and overall well-being for families in need.

The 2024 grant recipients and their awarded programs are as follows:

“We are proud to support these incredible organizations that are making a significant impact on the lives of children and families throughout South Florida,” said Soraya Rivera-Moya, Executive Director of RMHC South Florida. “Each grant recipient embodies our mission to create a supportive environment for families during challenging times, and we are excited to contribute to their important work.”

The funding for these grants is generated entirely through donation box collections at McDonald’s restaurants throughout South Florida, supplemented by matching funds from the global RMHC organization. These awarded funds will enable the recipient organizations to continue their vital efforts and expand their impact, ensuring that more families receive the support they deserve.
